IAN AITCHISON, STGA SCOTTISH TOUR GUIDE
Ian is a passionate Scotsman with a love for telling stories that bring alive the incredible history and landscape of Scotland. Qualified to guide throughout Scotland, Ian shares his remarkable knowledge and expertise with infectious enthusiasm and humour.
A former Royal Navy Commander, international corporate executive and Freeman of the City of London, Ian has been fortunate to explore much of the world and experience multiple cultures. He brings his unique knowledge gained outside Scotland to interpret the sights, sounds and history of his ancient homeland to those coming to Scotland from overseas.
In 2001, Ian led an international overland expedition from Perthshire to Persia in his beloved classic Range Rover. Today, he offers guests the chance to discover Scotland in the luxury of a fully air-conditioned Land Rover Discovery 5, combining comfort with the capability to explore areas off-limits and go further than other tours, travelling closer to sights of interest and often otherwise hidden parts of Scotland.
